Running ambassadors

Our running ambassadors are all getting ready for their next big marathon. As personal trainers, running coaches, founders of run clubs and everyday runners, each of them knows the importance of a proper training and preparation program. They also know a footcare solution that could ease their recovery period or bring them closer to a PB is something to put to the test.

As part of their ongoing marathon programs and various running clubs throughout the East Coast, our experts have been trying out Scholl products and forming their own opinions on how their training and performance have improved. From insoles that provide extra support during the run to methods designed to speed up recovery between sessions, what difference have they noticed while they clock up the kilometers?

"As an athlete I feel most at home with my running shoes on. Comfort is key and there's no way I want to show up to my next run with sore feet. My trick to staying in sports mode even when you gotta get a little bit fancy… Insoles!"

Eloise Wellings, Sydney

"Long runs are a must, but shorter, more intense speed workis also crucial for a good marathon prep. Setting up a well-researched schedule allows runnersto train effectively and incorporate different running sessions into their plan."

Our Community

Running is more than just a physical activity; it is a journey that reflects our diverse motivations and aspirations.

Some run for the joy it brings, a moment of personal triumph as they push their limits. Others run for causes larger than themselves, raising awareness and funds for important issues. And there are those who run for the future, setting an example for the next generating and contributing to a healthier, more active community.

Each stride tells a unique story and we love to hear yours. Share your running stories with us and inspire others with your passion, perseverance and purpose.

I love running because it was something my late grandpa got me into. Even at the age of 80 yrs old he was always running and he has always inspired me!

Marcel De Vera

I run because it gives me a sense of freedom and accomplishment. I use that time to clear my mind and challenge myself. I love the feeling after a run knowing I’ve pushed myself beyond my limits

Justin, Sydney

I love running, I only started last year after my daughter was ill to help my mental health. It’s my ‘me’ time it helps me download my day, switch off from work and focus on life. I feel fit, strong and capable when I’m running, it gives me so much joy I started a run club at my work for team bonding and spreading the absolute high of doing something you ‘can’t’ I ran my first half Marra this year and I’d be pumped to run a full one!

Sarah, Sydney

Wear the right footwear, continuous running in the wrong shoes could cause serious damage to your joints. The right footwear protects them and reduces your risk of injury.Wear the right socks, running in non-performance socks can lead to serious blisters depending on the distance. Don’t forget to stretch, stiff muscles can increase the risk of injury.

Keeping your feet healthier as a runner

Aching feet after running can be a frustrating physical pain and a knock to your confidence. Following a good foot care routine both before and after running can not only prevent this pain but also avoid common foot issues and allow your feet to recover faster. For example, exfoliating your feet once a week with a foot file, and moisturising daily can help prevent foot damage, and therefore will have a positive impact on your running journey. For your next run, ensure you put your best foot forward with these tips.

Recovery when training for your first marathon

Ahead of running a marathon, it's important to follow a proper training plan to minimise your risk of injury before or on the big day. Part of that is completing longer and longer runs, another part is nutrition. But equally important is incorporating rest, recovery and the right foot care into your routine to ensure you’re feeling in tip-top shape when you get to the starting line.

Recovery when training for your first marathon

Preparing your feet for running multiple times a week is just as important as fuelling your body. Without the right foot care, running can cause a number of issues, from short-term ailments to longer-lasting and more painful conditions. Scholl offers a wide range of foot care products that are perfect for preventing or alleviating runner’s feet, ensuring you can continue to go the distance.
